Center Norte and Lar Center support Abrasce’s campaign for safe resuming of activities

On September 22, Associação Brasileira de Shopping Centers (Abrasce) started an advertising campaign which aims to demonstrate the sector is prepare for the return of the public in a safe manner. The effort, supported by Center Norte and Lar Center, shows real testimonials by shop owners, customers and employees and demonstrates all the preparation and reinforced safety measures put in place by companies all over the country in order to have visitors back.

According to Glauco Humai, president of Abrasce, the reopening of the malls made it even more evident that people need the physical space to circulate among different areas. “It is clear that people missed it during this isolation period, so we would like to assure the population that we have taken all necessary and possible measures to guarantee everyone is safe,” says Humai, who points out that the campaign is an unprecedented initiative in the 44-year history of Abrasce.

For Guilherme Marini, executive director of Center Norte and Lar Center, Abrasce’s campaign is extremely important to reinforce the intense work the Shopping Centers in all regions of Brazil have been doing in order to care for the well-being and offer a safe environment to customers, store owners, employees and suppliers that circulate in the enterprises every day. “All the measures adopted for the reopening of Center Norte and Lar Center follow the guidelines of the government authorities and are aligned with the Abrasce protocols. I also highlight that we had infectologists’ consultancy, who helped us to implement the preventive actions of the operation protocols. All areas of the mall go through reinforced and constant cleaning procedures, not only during opening hours, but also when the lights go out”, affirms Marini. For him, everyone’s collaboration with the necessary care is fundamental.

Among the measures adopted by Center Norte and Lar Center, which currently operate 8 hours a day, are daily control of people’s access, with a flow limited to 40% of the enterprise’s capacity; mandatory use of masks by all (tenants, employees, suppliers and customers); temperature checks at the entrance; reinforcement and increased frequency in cleaning in all areas, environments and surfaces; alcohol gel dispensers in several places for hand hygiene care; signs and markings on the floor at various points to promote distance between people; extra care with air quality; removal of the parking card by a sensor; use of the elevators only by one person or one family at a time; food courts restricted to 40% of capacity; frequent training with employees to answer questions and guide customers; and reinforced communication about the importance of personal hygiene care.

Abrasce’s campaign was developed by the agency Artplan and includes a 30-second video for television and seven 15-second spots for social media.
