A project in partnership with the Associação Brasileira de Designers de Interiores explores the possibilities of Christmas decorations in 5 areas of the house.
One of the most expected dates of the year is approaching near: Christmas. Decorating the house, this year, will have an even more special meaning, since it has been our refuge for months. With that in mind, as well as all the simbology and the meaning of the date, Lar Center and Associação Brasileira de Designers de Interiores have established a partnership at the exhibition “Vitrines de Natal”.
The spaces created to inspire customers to decorate their homes were designed by architects Leandro Lazarini, Marcela Pousada, Priscila Comodaro, Renata Assarito, Camila Marinho, and Vivi Ventura. The project, which has the theme “A Vida é o Presente”, can be visited from November 24, 2020 until January 6, 2021, at Lar Center. The starting point is the idea that decorating the house for the holidays gets us ready to restart, with the beginning of a new year. A simple attitude, but one that can mean the recovery of faith and hope in the days to come.
Please observe that, for this action, we keep all the health and safety protocols recommended by regulating authorities and Abrasce: the visitors are allowed to view the decorated areas through the windows with no direct contact and without touching the furniture and objects. It features 5 Christmas windows which reproduce different areas of the home: Winter garden, home office, fashion design studio, entry hall, and living room.
“Our intention is to show that with the magic of Christmas, choosing Christmas decorations or making small changes in the house is a way to express joy and hope and this is what we want to provide our customers who come to Lar Center during this period. We have been present in the daily life of our customers’ homes for many years and this year could not be different. We want the emotion of Christmas to be present in every home”, comments Fabiana Teixeira, Lar Center’s marketing manager.
All the products used in the window decorations can be found at stores of Lar Center. The brands participating the exhibit include: Breton, Tapetes Santa Mônica, Franccino, Clami, Artville, Ateneo, Doural and Camicado.

Winter Garden
Based on the theme “A Vida é o Presente”, the space has elements that bring nature into the home and symbols that remind of Christmas in a playful way. The idea is to bring a conceptual Christmas tree to the shop window, with symbols and elements that break out of the traditional decoration style. Nature brings joy to the space and the furniture is far from being obvious featuring a swing and an asymmetric rug. The project was designed by Marcela Pousada, from MP² Home Design.
Christmas Entrance Hall during the Pandemic
Signed by architect Leandro Lazarini, the project Christmas Hall during the Pandemic, uses sober tones in a minimalist decoration, seeking joy and hope during the pandemic period.
Ho Ho Ho Home Office
This year everything changed. For many, the home has become a work environment and had to make room for an unplanned home office. This environment portrays the home office, often improvised, but where the arrangement of the furniture and the harmony of colors make for a pleasant space to work in. And since it is Christmas, why not use the decoration to create an atmosphere of renewal for your daily work? Adaptation is the word of the year! And breathing “fresh” air is always worthwhile. The concept and the space were developed by architect Vivian Ventura, from Arqventura.
Decorated living room for Christmas
2020 was not an easy year; it was pretty unusual and we had to make many changes. It was a challenging year and full of uncertainties. This space shows us that the pandemic made us get closer to our families, take care of each other and love each other more. With this spirit, the living room is cozy and welcoming, and reminds us family bonds and the good times we share. Architects Renata Assarino and Camila Marinho, from Studio M&A Arquitetura, were invited to design this room.
Fashion Design Studio
The space created by Priscila Comodaro deals with the changes we go through along the years and leads us to think of the disruption we are experiencing in 2020. In this room, visitors have the chance to see the antique and the modern side-by-side at a stylist’s workstation. A board that represents the transformations over the years separate the spaces.
