Starting this Sunday, November 8, Lar Center will once again hold its Organic Fair every Sunday, opening at 8 a.m. The event will continue to take place at a dedicated area of the mall’s parking lot, but at a new venue, next to Yamamura. In partnership with AAO – Associação de Agricultura Orgânica (Organic Farming Association), the fair values the small producers and offers a wide variety of organic vegetables, fruits, greens, spices, dairy products, sauces, jellies, nuts, cereals, cakes, breads, coffee, juices, teas and wines, besides a special stand with options for a delicious breakfast.
Grown in a system that respects natural cycles, benefiting biodiversity and reducing the impact on the environment, organic products are free of pesticides and stand out for their more intense flavor and aroma. According to a recent survey conducted by Associação de Promoção dos Orgânicos (Organis), there was a 44.5% increase in the consumption of organics between March and September this year in Brazil.
“Because of the pandemic, the Organic Fair had been discontinued, but the demand from our customers remained high. With the progress of Plano São Paulo, we evaluated the opportunity to resume the operation together with the AAO, making all the necessary adjustments to promote the event safely. Our main concern is to care for the health and well-being of the producers and collaborators, as well as the clients. I reinforce that we are following all the protocols established by the competent authorities and, also, we count on the consultancy of infectologists for the implementation of preventive measures”, explains Guilherme Marini, Lar Center’s executive director.
The layout of the stands, as well as the tables and benches for eating and resting, was reorganized with greater distance. Use of facial masks is mandatory for everyone, temperature is being measured at the entrance and there is a limited number of simultaneous visitors. We have reinforced cleaning of the area and there will be hand sanitizers and gloves in all stands so customers can touch the items for sale. The playground is temporarily closed and activities and workshops are temporarily suspended.
In order to reinforce preventive measures, we recommend customers to bring their own reusable shopping bags to carry the items purchased. “Everyone’s collaboration with the necessary care is fundamental. I emphasize that the Organic Fair has been held at Lar Center since May 2018 and is an operation that is aligned with our strategy of providing unique experiences for our customers. The weekly event has always had good acceptance by the visitors and residents of the region,” adds Marini.
