In partnership with ITACI, Center Norte supports Golden September

The mall will reinforce the dissemination of information about childhood cancer and will have collection stands.

Known as the awareness month of early diagnosis of childhood cancer, Setembro Dourado promotes many initiatives to show how to prevent, care and treat the disease. The initiative was created by the Confederação Nacional das Instituições de Apoio e Assistência à Criança e ao Adolescente com Câncer (CONIACC), and relies on the support of 52 affiliated entities, including ITACI – Instituto de Tratamento do Câncer Infantil.

For this edition of Setembro Dourado, Center Norte has partnered with ITACI to contribute to awareness and to collect donations of hair for the production of wigs which will be directed to kids undergoing cancer treatment. For this, throughout the month of September, there will be communications in the media channels, bringing information on awareness, symptoms and treatment of childhood cancer. Information on these topics are also available at the ITACI website and the hospital social media.

For those who wish to donate through the site, the Center Norte unit of Jacques Janine hair salon will offer a free haircut (it’s necessary to schedule an appointment and it is subject to availability) and will collect the donated hair. Besides the hair salon, donations can also be made at the collection stand at the Drive-Thru. All donations will be directed to Rapunzel Solidária, the NGO in charge of the wigs manufacture.
