Cine Drive-In at Center Norte, interventions in the Carandiru subway station and graffiti at the Fábricas de Cultura are some of the actions that Instituto Center Norte will offer.
Cidade Center Norte, through Instituto Center Norte, sponsors, for the second year in a row, Virada Sustentável, an initiative that aims to improve society and environment from a joyful and inspiring perspective of sustainability. Edition 2020 goes from September 16th to October 18th and will have an extensive schedule, with online and offline activations.
From October 5 to 11, Instituto Center Norte will support graffiti action by Coletivo Feminino Zona Norte at Fábricas de Cultura Jaçanã, Vila Nova Cachoeirinha and Brasilândia, where the participants will depict, with their artistic manifestations, themes related to the Amazon Forest and the environment.
Instituto Center Norte will also support the intervention ‘Seja a Mudança’ at the Carandiru station of Line 1-Azul of São Paulo’s Subway. Between October 12 and 18, the steps of one of the stairs of the station will be taken by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), defined by the UN and that rule the activities of the Virada Sustentável all over Brazil. According to the event’s organization, these goals represent today the best translation of what sustainability is, bringing this concept clearly to the society and revealing its transversal nature in the most diverse areas of knowledge.
Among the actions that Cidade Center Norte will promote in this edition is also the Cine Drive-In, which will take place in a reserved area of Center Norte parking lot. The program consists of showing two movies a day (the first dubbed and the second subtitled), on the following dates: October 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. Ticket reservations must be made in advance through Center Norte website: https://www.centernorte.com.br/virada-sustentavel-2020/, according to availability for the desired date and time. There will be a limit of 100 cars per session, and up to four people and one pet are allowed per vehicle. On the 11th and 12th, the entrance will be upon the delivery of a recyclable material, in addition to the previous reservation, which will be collected by Cataki, a collaborative digital platform that connects waste generators and collectors of recyclable materials from all over the country.
